March 12, 2012 - PRLog -- The Falmouth Spring Festival (17th – 25th March) focuses on celebrating the fabulous open spaces, gardens and scenery around Falmouth.

Keen gardeners are beginning to prepare for one of the first flowers shows of the season. The Falmouth Spring Flower Show which is now part of the Falmouth Spring Festival has marked the start of spring in Falmouth for over a century. The two day festival (24th-25th March) is held at the Princess Pavilion where you can enjoy the array of spring flowers heralding the end of the dreary months of winter.

According to The Telegraph, “Cornwall abounds in expert growers and climate-defying gardens, so the show, which first took place in 1910, promises to be a feast of daffodils, early magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias.”

As well as spring flowers – shrubs, daffodils, narcissi, violets and anemones – there will be bonsai, orchids and flower arrangements on display.

Exhibitors include anyone with a love of flora and fauna from big nurseries and public gardens to local residents with private gardens.

The show is the perfect weekend activity for anybody with a passion for gardening, but it’s also a unique event for the whole family. If you are interested in visiting Falmouth, look for hotels in Falmouth! Falmouth provides a full range of accommodation with plenty of B&B’s as well as more upmarket hotels set back from the town and has a seemingly endless supply of excellent places to eat and drink. There is plenty here to warrant a two night stay before or after walking.

The Falmouth’ is a charming, Victorian chateau-style Falmouth beach hotel (http://www.falmouthhotel.com/?utm_source=Premium+Content+...) set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens and a prime sea front location.
