March 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Russ Dugger Racing and JPO Absorbents are excited to announce a six-race partnership that will put Oklahoma driver Russ Dugger back in the #12 truck to compete in select NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events during the 2012 season.

The agreement being announced today will place JPOabsorbents.com front and center on the #12 Chevrolet Silverado as primary sponsor at some of the most popular tracks on the NASCAR calendar including Bristol, Talladega, Martinsville, Homestead, Kansas, and the always exciting Texas Motor Speedway.

The road back to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for Russ Dugger has been long and winding, but through faith and perseverance, he will take the wheel again at Kansas Speedway on April 21st, 2012 for the SFP 250.  Kansas Speedway, by coincidence, is where Dugger last held the wheel, where he put on an impressive performance at the ARCA Kansas Lottery 150 in October of 2010.

Dugger's race schedule also includes a highly anticipated return to Texas Motor Speedway for the November 2nd WinStar World Casino 350.  It was in Texas where Dugger competed in his first ever 1.5 mile event, at the ARCA Rattlesnake 150 in April 2010, where his lead-lap finish in the top-15 after starting 31st served notice to the racing community that he is the real deal.

The last time Dugger competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was in 2008, where the realities of racing in an underfunded team became clear.  Mechanical issues at both events resulted in early retirements, and he was never able to show what he could do.  

This time however, will be very different.

Jamie O'Brien and his company, JPO Absorbents, will be the primary sponsor on Dugger's vehicle for all six races, and the team is committed to arriving at each event ready to not only go the distance, but to be competitive.

The decision to market in NASCAR was a simple one for O'Brien, who said "the demographics of NASCAR fans are the majority of the end users of our products...and I love the sport."  

JPO Absorbents carries the best absorbent products in the marketplace, consisting of leading edge, environmentally friendly chemical absorbents used in 19 industries including automotive.  His business is a natural fit for NASCAR marketing, but certainly the fact that O'Brien is himself a racer at heart with experience in drag racing as both a competitor and a sponsor dating back four decades, meant he fully understands the value of motorsports marketing.

His decision to partner with Russ Dugger Racing for these races was carefully thought out, and ultimately boiled down to character.  "What sold me on Russ was just listening to him discuss his priorities, especially being a family man first, his religious beliefs, being accountable, and appreciating the opportunity to show who he/we really are," O'Brien said.

Of course, having a lot of confidence doesn't hurt either, and both men share a high level of confidence in what they can accomplish.  "Russ knows I look forward to standing next to the car and driver after winning a NASCAR event, and I know he does too," O'Brien said.

For Dugger's part, the first race can't come soon enough.  "I have done everything possible to keep sharp and be prepared for this day, and am extremely excited to have the opportunity to represent Jamie and his great company in NASCAR," said Dugger.

"It will be great to be back at the track with (crew chief) Mario Gosselin and his talented team of people.  We work extremely well together as we've shown in the past, and we've both been waiting a long time for the chance to show what we're made of for more than just a race or two."
