America’s Family Pet Expo to Salute Hollywood Pets at 2012 Event

March 6, 2012 - PRLog -- The bow-wow-wows and cats’ meows at the 23rd annual America’s Family Pet Expo will include some new but familiar sounds as some of the famous pets of Hollywood will be featured at the April 20-22, 2012 event at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa, California.

This year’s theme is “Salute to Hollywood Pets” where throughout the weekend, Expo guests can meet the four-legged and feathered stars and learn about the roles pets play in television and movies. Featured pets include Angel and Rusco who star as Chloe and Papi from Disney’s “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” franchise, Stella from “Modern Family”, Yakult from ABC’s “Surburgatory,” Charlie the cat from  Disney Channel’s “A.N.T. Farm”, Owen the cockatiel from Disney Channel’s “Austin & Ally”, and Suzie Q who portrays Jim on CBS’ “Mike & Molly,” plus more to be announced!

The America’s Family Pet Expo will also feature a lively round-up of four-legged animal shows and demonstrations, including JUMP! The Ultimate Dog Show, Splash Dogs, Police and Search Dog Demonstrations, and the latest trends in pet care grooming and care.

Dogs and cats won’t be the only animals featured in the three-day event.  More than 1,000 animals including equine, birds, fish, llamas, pot bellied pigs, goats, rats, reptiles, rabbits, miniature horses and more are to be on display in fun and interactive stage shows, competitions and demonstrations.  In addition, the Expo will host over 400 exhibitors and rescue groups including Bow Meow Pet Products, No Stray Left Behind, Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary, Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue, and more!
