Is it a Game? Is it a Table? It’s Both! Introducing Kineti-Go’s new Magnetic Game “Table”

March 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Kineti-Go Games, a magnetic game table design and manufacturing company, today announced the release of its newest Magnetic Shuffleboard with tabletop.  The free-standing table is a high-end version of the company’s flagship game, Kineti-Go Magnetic Shuffleboard. It is currently available in maple and walnut woods, with more wood options soon to follow. Kineti-Go will also design games to customers’ specifications. The maple table has contrasting walnut inlays to define the playing areas and scoring grids. It is trimmed with cherry sides and cherry legs. The matching tabletop is made from maple with cherry trim. The walnut table has contrasting maple inlays to define the playing areas and scoring grids. This table features maple legs and sides. The matching tabletop is made of maple with walnut trim. Both game tables come with one magnetic shooter and six magnetic pucks designed to match the table. As with all Kineti-Go Magnetic Shuffleboards, there are magnets embedded in the sidewalls to encourage bank shots.
The matching contemporary tabletop fits snugly on top of the game when the game is not in use. This solution turns the game into an attractive occasional or dining table when needed. The tabletop addition is meant to address space restrictions for Kineti-Go players who live in cities, or who are short on space. Though Kineti-Go Shuffleboard tables have a smaller footprint than other table games like foosball, pool and air hockey, they still are considered too big for many fans of the game. These players now have the option of having a game table with two distinct functions—Game and Table.
Kineti-Go Magnetic Shuffleboard is a shuffleboard style game in which players use a magnetic shooter to launch their magnetic pucks down the 2’ x 4’ wooden board. Each player releases their “pucks” (wood-encased magnets) from the horse-shoe shaped “shooter,” causing the shooter to repel the puck down the board toward the scoring areas. Players control the strength of their shot by how far they pull the puck into the slot and how quickly they release it. Players jockey for placement in the highest of Kineti-Go’s three point zones while also strategically placing their pucks to prevent their opponent from scoring. The pucks all repel each other so there is never contact between the pieces. There are also magnets placed in the sidewalls that enable players to do great bank shots with a magnetic push!
