March 5, 2012 - PRLog -- San Diego, Calif. - (March 1, 2012) — In line with March’s National Youth Art Month, Del Mar Rendezvous is cooking up its modern Chinese dishes for a good cause. To show its support of local youth art programs, the Del Mar restaurant will host its “Noodles for Doodles” fundraiser benefitting art programs at The Boys & Girls Club of San Dieguito.

From March 1–19, 2012, Del Mar Rendezvous will observe National Youth Art Month by donating 10% of items purchased, by customers who mention the promotion, to the local organization’s art programs.

“The community of Del Mar has been extremely supportive of our restaurant over the past eight years, so whenever we have the opportunity, we are always happy to support local causes,” said Del Mar Rendezvous’ Managing Partner Daniel Schreiber. “With all of the recent budget cuts, and this being both National Noodle Month and National Youth Art Month, we thought it would be a great time to support a Del Mar charity that does such great work for our community.”

At Del Mar Rendezvous, guests can choose from over 20 noodle dishes, including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. Popular items include: Shanghai Style Noodles, Seafood Pad Thai, Rendezvous Chow Mein, Rendezvous Lo Mein, Singapore Chow Konnyaku Noodles, and Chow Fun.

“We hope that this will mobilize the community to join us in this effort to assist with the art programs at our local Boys & Girls Club,” said Schreiber. “With over one hundred dishes to choose from, well, you could have something different every day. Just stop in, enjoy your meal, and we’ll take care of the rest!”

Del Mar Rendezvous participates in numerous community efforts throughout the year and is involved with events both on-site and \at the restaurant. In November of last year, the restaurant donated a custom bench to the Del Mar Village Association, which is now installed just across from the front door of the restaurant.

The Boys & Girls Club of San Dieguito is a non-profit organization that serves over 25,000 youth in north coastal San Diego, an area known as San Dieguito. Its six branches and special programs offer exceptional programs for youth including after school activities, summer activities, music, theater, aquatics, athletics and educational enhancement.
