Follow on Google News | New Local Publishing House Launches First Book At The Calgary ObservatoryTyche Books Ltd. is celebrating the release of their first book, “Ride the Moon,” with a book launch event on Saturday, March 24.

Available in book stores and online on February 29th, Ride the Moon is a collection of science fiction and fantasy stories from 19 authors from around the world and edited by Calgary author M.L.D. Curelas. Local authors Krista D. Ball (Edmonton, AB), Kevin Cockle (Calgary, AB), Isabella Drzemczewska Hodson (Penticton, BC) and Billie Milholland (Edmonton, AB) will read selections from their stories which appear in the anthology. Dr. Phil Langill, Director of the Observatory, will give a presentation on the moon. "This is a huge milestone for us," said Tina Moreau, Co-Owner of Tyche Books. "We’ve made it through the start up phase where you aren’t really sure if it’s going to work out. But it has. This book is just the first of many for Tyche." The event at the Observatory is free and open to the public. After the readings, the authors will sign books and answer questions from the guests.
