Fresh Off European Tour, Singer Dan Coyle Heads to Durham, NC

Feb. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Durham NC -- Acclaimed singer songwriter Dan Coyle is heading to Durham for a one night engagement, celebrating his return from a yearlong European tour. Coyle will play the Garage Bar at Motorco Music Hall on March 4th at 8pm. Admission is $7 at the door. This will be Coyle’s first show in Durham since returning from the incredibly successful tour in 2011.

"It was a long, but wonderful year in Europe. Now I’m happy to be back in the U.S. and ready to start the 2012 U.S. tour," the New York City-based Coyle said. "I hope everyone will come out and hear their favorites as well as a dozen or so new songs."

Coyle's music has been described by the Red Onion News as "...refreshingly original yet uniquely familiar. Not copyright infringement familiar – more like comfy couch familiar. Dan Coyle delivers a clean melodic sound reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel but with a decidedly contemporary feel."

"It's an acoustic mix of Josh Ritter, Paul Simon and Jason Mraz, with some soft and hard edges to it," Coyle said.

Coyle has released four albums to date, including "You Linger Your Little Hour And Are Gone" and "Random Thoughts and Incomplete Sentences." His latest album “From Prague To Paris,” was written during his European travels. It was recorded in Berlin and released worldwide in October, 2011. He has toured internationally since 2008, playing everything from small venues to concert halls to massive festivals.

Coyle will play several more dates through June across the U.S. and will be heard on several national and local radio stations.
