Hupp is a Partner, Chief Financial Officer, Member of Operating Committee and Member of Executive Committee of Adams Street Partners, LLC. He is based in the Chicago office and joined the firm in 2001. He and is a Member of the Investment Accounting and Operations Team. Hupp is responsible for all financial reporting and administrative functions relating to the firm, its funds, and separately managed accounts. Previously he was a Financial Services Audit Partner at KPMG. Hupp has more than 20 years of experience with investment service entities including investment advisors, broker and dealers, mutual funds, and other related investment products including venture capital and hedge funds. He has been significantly involved in investment advisor and broker-dealer mergers and acquisitions including assisting clients with purchase accounting issues, due diligence, and SEC compliance. Hupp has also assisted clients in analyzing compliance, operational, and accounting issues associated with derivatives and other complex investments. He is also experienced as a project programmer and Computer Systems Consultant. Hupp has taught business planning seminars and investment industry courses, spoken at private equity seminars, and edited and contributed to KPMG's RE:Fund publication. He is a Founding Board Member of the Midwest Chapter of the Private Equity C.F.O. Association and Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois C.P.A. Society, Institute of Management Accounting, the C.F.O. Task Force, and National Venture Capital Association. Hupp received a C.P.A. from the State of Illinois in 1981. He received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1980 and a B.A., with high honors, from the University of Michigan in 1978. Daniel Reid Director, Financial Services Regulatory KPMG Daniel Reid is a Director in KPMG’s Financial Services Regulatory Practice and has over 9 years of experience in securities regulation and compliance. Prior to joining KPMG, Reid was a legal and compliance professional at a diversified alternative asset management firm. Previously, Reid worked in securities litigation at both the SEC and a private law firm and as an analyst in the corporate, commercial and investment banking fields. Reid has extensive experience researching, interpreting and applying the federal securities laws and regulations, state and foreign financial laws and regulations, and accepted industry better-practices to the compliance demands of a variety of financial businesses. His current practice focuses on developing, implementing and testing comprehensive risk and compliance programs for investment advisers, broker dealers and private banks, especially those involved in alternative assets such as hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, private equity funds and private banks. Reid is a graduate of the University of Oregon and the University of San Francisco School of Law. Adam Weinstein Managing Director New Mountain Capital Adam B. Weinstein, Managing Director, joined New Mountain in 2005. He previously worked at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, in that firm's merger and acquisition and private equity investor services areas, with clients that included large and small blue chip private equity and venture capital firms. He is a New York State Certified Public Accountant and received his B.S., summa cum laude, from Binghamton University.
