Greater Efficiency in the Private Equity Firm (Privcap)

In "The Efficient GP," three experts explain the importance of efficiency in a firm as the demands for better service continue despite weaker fundraising and lower fees

Feb. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Private equity firms today need to do more with less. Their own investors and regulators around the world want more information, better service, and evidence of a robust firm infrastructure. But for many firms, these demands are happening amid an atmosphere of weaker fundraising and lower fees. How to confront this challenge? Be more efficient.

In “The Efficient GP,” William Hupp, a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Adams Street Partners, Daniel Reid, a Director of Financial Services Regulatory Practice at KPMG, and Adam Weinstein, a Managing Director of New Mountain Capital, discuss the ways their own firms are improving internal operations and investor servicing.

This program is the first in the groundbreaking Privcap video series, “Building a Better Firm.” Topics discussed include the imperative to hire more and professionals who wear multiple hats, the challenges of globalization, the right way to deploy technology in the firm, the need to mechanize internal processes, the insource vs. outsource debate, and the top tasks for 2012.
