Feb. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Members of staff at TWI were invited to nominate their favourite charities and when this Christmas there was no shortage of worthy suggestions, TWI decided to assist them all.

Local organisations, The Elizabeth Coteman Fund, a Cambridgeshire Community Foundation cancer charity; the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Rosie Maternity Hospital; Headway Cambridgeshire, which helps improve lives of those with acquired brain injury; and John Huntingdon’s Charity, based in Sawston, which helps those struggling with poverty or extreme personal difficulty, each received £750.

National charities Practical Action; Dogs for the Disabled; and the Handicapped Children's Pilgrimage Trust based near TWI’s Sheffield base, also received £750 each.

The Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Trust has recently written to say that the money will go towards their planned trip to take 8 young people with special needs and their volunteer helpers to Lourdes in 2012.
