Feb. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Who:   Clark County public school teachers, joined by their bargaining representative, the Clark County Education Association (CCEA), will rally to provide students a voice and protect their educational opportunities.

What:   Teachers will urge Clark County School District (CCSD) officials to lead the fight for a sustainable revenue source to provide more resources in the classroom and provide teachers with the tools needed to deliver a quality education that will increase student achievement and success.

As the School Board of Trustees and District officials prepare the budget for the 2012/2013 school year, it is imperative they make students’ education the top priority. An investment in classroom resources is vital.  Increasing class size by an average of 3 to 4 students will greatly reduce classroom resources, hurting our students’ opportunity for academic success.

It is time District officials make students their top priority.  There are more than 300,000 students in Clark County public schools depending on their leadership. Our students need a quality education to succeed in life – don’t shortchange their future!

When:   Thursday, February 23, 2012 – from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Where:   In front of the Edward Greer Education Center
   2832 E. Flamingo Road
   Las Vegas, NV 891216
