Feb. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- The Comedy-O-Rama Hour, the improvisational comedy radio theater show, began its 5th season this past Saturday, to its highest audience numbers ever.

Comedy-O-Rama--the brainchild of real-life husband and wife Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev.) and Lorie Kellogg--was cancelled after a successful four year run on XM Radio, a casualty of the Sirius XM merger.

"We are back in full force," boasts Bevilacqua. "Clearly, audiences are moving away from the rigid formulas of traditional TV and radio. The future of entertainment is on the Internet, where anything is possible!"

Joe Bev. credits this shift as the reason The Comedy-O-Rama Hour is attracting celebrity guest stars to ad-lib as characters in the "Camp Waterlogg-A-Go-Go!" stories.

Rick Overton (Curb Your Enthusiasm) will be the first guest star on March 31 show in a segment called "Ask Ranger Dimitri," which Overton and Bev hope to make a reoccurring part of Comedy-O-Rama.

Upcoming guests include Julie Newmar (Batman),Stuart Pankin (HBO's Not Necessarily the News), Bob Camp (Ren & Stimpy) and Judy Tenuta (The Weird Al Show).

According to Terry & Tiffany DuFoe, the creators and owners of Cult Radio A-Go-Go!--"With 1,495 listeners worldwide we had 192.56 listening hours Feb 18th for the CRSB / CRAGG LIVE line up.

"Having almost 1500 tune in's is a phenomenal number for 'internet radio', especially on a debut weekend," Terry & Tiffany continue.  "Terrestrial radio holds listeners much easier because it is tuned in on a tactile radio in someone's car or home.  When dealing with internet radio, you're dealing with the 'short attention span' of the 'on demand era' who is busy surfing the web while listening and potentially having their attention deviated away from sitting by the PC constantly.  So this large of a number is great and makes us very happy."

This Saturday's Cult Radio broadcast is part two of "Cupid Comes to Camp Waterlogg", which The British Universities Film & Video Council called "a modernization of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ranger Lorie is having a big Valentine's "Kiss-Off" square dance to help raise money to save her dilapidated kids camp in the Catskills. Cupid sends the Baby of the Woods (Puck) to bring all the star-crossed lovers together, and confusion ensues. Meanwhile, Ranger Joe (Bottom) makes an ass of himself, while performing in Las Vegas."

The hour also includes Cousin Kenny Savoy, Jim Folly, Tom Giannazzo, and Reagan Leonard.

Cult Radio-A-Go-Go! will be airing the "Best of Comedy-O-Rama" until March 31 when new "Camp Waterlogg-A-Go-Go!" episodes will begin. More details to come.

A Kickstarter campaign is underway to keep The Comedy-O-Rama Hour on the air beyond 13 weeks. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/waterlogg/bring-back-...
