Life Care Community in Prairie Village Names New Marketing and Wellness Directors

Feb. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan.:  Claridge Court, a not-for-profit senior living community in Johnson County, has invested in two new team members to continue their mission to provide a quality living experience to residents. Selene Madrid joins Claridge Court as marketing director, and Catherine Solie is the community’s new wellness director. Madrid and Solie bring extensive experience and passion for senior living to the Claridge Court team. The community is located at 8101 Mission Rd. in Prairie Village, Kan., and is owned and operated by Lifespace Communities, Inc.

Executive director Rob Salierno says Madrid and Solie help create an environment that enables the community to excel in service on every level, from activities to health care.

“There are so many facets to our community,” said Salierno. “Our employees work as a team to achieve the high standards we’ve established, providing our residents with a wonderful place to live. We’re pleased to announce our two new team members, who bring both enthusiasm and expertise to their positions, and will continue to enhance our community and leadership team.”

Madrid has nearly 10 years of marketing experience in the Kansas City area. She most recently served as the director of marketing and sales for Armour Oaks Senior Living Community. Her experience includes several years with Heartland Home Health and Hospice in Kansas City, Mo. and Southview Homecare in Kansas City, Kan. In her new role as marketing director, Madrid will educate current and future residents, families of residents and the general public about the lifestyle available at Claridge Court.

Solie is a Certified Health Education Specialist and previously worked as a health educator for the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation in Minneapolis, Minn. She received her bachelor of arts degree in health fitness and health education from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. As wellness director, Solie will manage the community’s FitSixSM program, a comprehensive six-dimension wellness initiative focused on physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and vocational wellness.
