By: SMART Recovery Dr. Hank Robb received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 1978. Dr. Robb served as Director of Counseling and Associate Professor of Psychology at Lewis Clark State College, Lewiston, Idaho between 1978 and 1986 as well as President of the Idaho Psychological Association and Chair of the Idaho psychological licensing board before moving to Oregon. Dr. Robb is a Supervisor for the Institute for Rational-Emotive Therapy, New York, board certified in both Counseling Psychology as well as Behavioral Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and holds a Certificate of Proficiency in the Treatment of Alcohol and Other Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders from the American Psychological Association’ Dr. Robb is a founding member of SMART Recovery and continues to write regularly for the SMART New & Views newsletter on topics related to cognitive behavioral (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) -- thought of great interest to those in the forefront of psychological thought as well as to the individual who wants to create the life he/she wants to live.
