Parga Greece, a unique Greek destination

Parga - the diamond of Epirus with an island character. Thousands of tourists from Greece and abroad visit Parga every year.

Feb. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Parga is an eye-catching town that you can find in the region of Epirus, in the north west of Greece. The town is located inside of natural mountains and very clear blue Mediterranean Sea waters. It is wonderful and enchanting way to spend your holidays relaxed next to the seaside. Parga is one of the most popular destinations in Epirus. Parga is called one of the pearls of Greece, with active life, but also rich in history that could just take your breath away.

Parga structure, with its narrow roads is typically Traditional Greek. You won't discover hamburger and snacks here. You will only look for the common Traditional greek recipes such as moussaka, gyro, souvlaki and stuffed grape leaves. You can wash all this down with a refreshing bottle of retsina, a can of locally brewed beer and a delightfully brewed cup of espresso coffee or you may choose latte if you wish.

Like many seaside destinations of both mainland Greece and island Greece there are many gorgeous castles that offer the best views over their unique areas and joining coastline.  It might get very busy in summer, but you are then able to just walk around the headland to the Lichnos Beach. This crescent shaped beach is stunningly beautiful and brims over with tavernas, watersports' opportunities and sun loungers. Parga beaches, that lie on the relatively unspoilt Epirus coast, are a haven for beach loving tourists that fly into the airport at Preveza, which is about 20 km away from Parga resort.

While many people choose to have their vacation only in Parga, the nearby areas seem to be quite stylish too. A journey for about 30 minutes from Parga are the ancient ruins of the Nekromanteion of Acheron that are really worth a visit and if you begin to drive around the coast of Preveza, you will pass many beautiful villages.
When travelling south along the Preveza shore the road passes through Loutsa beach, Kanali, and Vrahos where the best beaches in Greece can be found.

Parga, without anydoubt is one of the most eye catching places on mainland Greece with its f red roofed village homes encircling the picturesque harbor. It is a place to enjoy calm meditation without the noise and partying of the main Greek islands
There is something about Parga that just makes you want to return there again and again. A place you could simply never be tired of.
