The Springs at Whitefish Construction Project

The Springs at Whitefish, a senior retirement community with assisted living and memory care, has recently begun construction on expanding and enhancing their facility.  The expansion includes an addition of 8 units to Memory Care which will bring the total units to 22.  The Memory Care wing will also expand its common areas to include an enhanced dining room, activities kitchen, community living room and hair salon for its residents, along with a modification of the courtyard area.

The assisted living area is also undergoing a transformation; specifically of the general dining room and the activities room.  In addition, an installation of an in-house TV channel that includes digital signage, known as “Touch Town”, a state-of-the-art communication and response system, will enable all residents to access events, announcements, dining menus or emergency alerts on their own televisions and throughout common areas at The Springs.

“We’re very excited to be able to provide more rooms along with expanded common areas in memory care and assisted living at The Springs at Whitefish.  And,  to have the added technology of “Touch Town” for expanded communication in response to the needs of a newer generation of resident,  stated Brenda Weisz, Executive Director of The Springs at Whitefish.

The general contractor on the project is Maurer Construction out of Missoula, MT and the architect is Wayne J. Morris from Billings, MT.  Maurer Construction was the contractor at The Springs at Missoula which opened in 2004.  The expansion of The Springs at Whitefish is scheduled to be completed early spring of 2012.
