BDR Thermea training centre hosts BPEC ‘Train the trainers’ courses

Jan. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- BDR Thermea’s Dartford training centre is hosting a series of solar thermal ‘Train the trainer’ and ‘Catch-up train the trainer’ courses for awarding organisation BPEC.

Paul Cullen, BPEC’s Business Development Manager, explains: “To make sure that BPEC courses are delivered to the most up-to-date and highest possible standard, and also to continue to meet the requirements of MCS bodies, BPEC has now mapped its solar PV and solar thermal training courses and assessments against the Qualifications and Credit Framework and the National Occupational Standards (NOS) issued by Summit Skills.

“As part of this process, BPEC is offering ‘Train the trainer’ and ‘Catch-up train the trainer’ courses to existing approved BPEC training centres and centres that aspire to be approved by BPEC.

“BPEC is in the latter stages of mapping its heat pump courses, rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling courses and renewable energy awareness course, and will make an announcement about these in the near future.

“We are delighted and grateful to be able to use BDR Thermea’s excellent facilities at Dartford to deliver the courses.  I’d also like to thank the other colleges and training centres that have made their facilities available to us,” finishes Paul.

Steve Owen, National Training Manager for BDR Thermea, adds: “Three of my trainers already deliver the BPEC solar thermal course and are taking the two-day ‘Catch-up’ course, while the others are taking the full four-day training course.  

“This means that all our trainers will be fully approved to provide training for installers who want to grow their businesses to take advantage of the burgeoning interest in solar.”
