| Programs to help the community starting soon!Help is coming to Three Rivers and SW Michigan through training programs and coaching for small business startups and people looking for jobs.
By: Nancy Becher According to the Detroit News, Jan. 19, 2012, "Michigan's unemployment rate in December declined another half-percentage point to 9.3%, the state's lowest rate since the 8.9% rate recorded in September 2008, said the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget. And data released Wednesday confirmed that 2011 marked the first year since 2000 that Michigan posted a net increase in jobs." That means that business is growing again, and since so many people in SW Michigan have started their own businesses recently, this is good news for the entire community. But while things are looking better, people still need a great deal of support to get back on their feet again, and that's what BSU is going to be providing: through a series of programs such as those that help with resumes, proper etiquette, suits and business dress clothes, business plan writing and much more, the members of the community that are interested in improving their lives in someway will be met. There is also going to be a monthly "free cycle style" program where people can drop off items they no longer need and others can find the "jewels" that they have been looking for -- all without cost. This is a way to help the environment as well as sharing in good will. If interested, people should check the website at http://www.success4biz.biz End
