By: City and County of Swansea The BBC Stargazing event in 2011 attracted over 40,000 people across the UK in star gazing activities on Big Screens. The screen will also feature a film asking Professor Brian Cox 20 burning questions about the universe. There will be a feed from the Faulkes Telescope in Hawaii, for a taste of the stars at night and the narration will explain what people can see in the night sky in Hawaii. There will also be an opportunity for people to observe the sun through a telescope, subject to favourable weather conditions. Everyone attending will receive a star guide which will be distributed to people attending the event. Frances Jenkins, Strategic Manager for Tourism, Marketing and Events at Swansea Council said, “This is another fantastic event taking place at Swansea’s Big Screen.
