Global Entrepreneurship Summit by Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur

Dec. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (scheduled from 13th-15th January, 2012 to be held in IIT Kharagpur), the annual flagship event of the Entrepreneurship Cell IIT Kharagpur, is one of the biggest entrepreneurial platforms for academicians, new-age entrepreneurs, eminent business personalities, venture capitalists and the students to gather at one place and share their entrepreneurial endeavours and experiences, and to pledge to take entrepreneurship in India to greater scales.
The theme of GES’12 is "Innovators: The Creators of Tomorrow". It will witness the presence of persona such as Mr. Suneet Singh Tulli, CEO, Datawind, popularly known as the brain behind 'Aakash', world's cheapest tablet device, Mr. Nikhil Soman, Founder, zapak.com and Founder, bigadda.com and presently, VP, Technology Strategy at Reliance Big Entertainment and other stalwarts in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.

GES 2012 also brings our very own Start-up Camp, an invaluable, first-of-its-kind opportunity for the best start-ups of the country to raise seed capital through Elevator pitch and hire college students as a full time employee or as an intern. The Summit will also play host to the finals of our prestigious B-Plan competitions: Concipio, Envision and Empresario, where finalists from across the globe battle it out for incubation and prize money upto 1.8 crores INR.
It will also bring together Universities across the globe like University of Cambridge, Boston University, Ryerson University among many more and entrepreneurs with the likes of Sramana Mitra in the Global Entrepreneurship Conference. Besides these, it will play host to numerous Workshops on topics of Entrepreneurship, On Challenges in sustaining Businesses, on Product Innovation and, and the National E-Cells Conference "Connect the Dots", Through which E-Cell, IIT Kharagpur aims at creating a platform where various entrepreneurship cells of the country can Exchange ideas and knowledge and discuss common problems
In addition, there will be a lot of other attractions like the Business Quiz, Innovation Exhibition –a showcase of the latest product technologies, conferences, Panel discussions on Innovation and Venture capital, Inicio the case study competition and on spot events like Thank God Its Friday (TGIF), Tag 'em ol and Monopoly to keep you enlightened as well as occupied.
