Dec. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- WOODBRIDGE, VA DECEMBER 23, 2011:  while we keep seeing reports that the economy is improving and houses are starting to sell, there are still many of our neighbors that are struggling without any heat at all or unsafe heating systems.  Meanwhile the President has recommended cutting LIHEAPS budget from $5.1 billion
to $2.57 billion in FY2012.  Elderly on fixed incomes can’t afford their heating oil or can’t afford repairs and as a result are running unsafe heating systems.  With the stress of lost jobs and homes, domestic violence and child neglect are up.
