| Jan’s Paperbacks Announces Revised Trade PolicyBeaverton and Aloha, Oregon………..Jan’s Paperbacks has announced a new trade policy to go into effect January 1, 2012.
By: Jan's Paperbacks The trade policy will be changing to a 50/50 policy which will allow us to continue serving the readers in our community. Simply put this means that books brought in for trade will continue to be taken in at 25% of the cover price and go out at 50% the cover price. The change will be in how the books will be purchased. The $0.25 fee per book will be eliminated. When making a purchase with in-store credit, only 50% of the purchase price will be eligible for in-store credit. The remaining 50% must be paid with cash or credit card. “Jan’s has been a part of the local community for over 30 years, and in that time the industry has changed dramatically and we need to change with it. We hope our customers understand that this policy change is a preemptive move to secure the long term viability of Jan’s Paperbacks”, says store owner Debbie Burke. “We appreciate our customers and look forward to helping them find their next favorite book or author.” Jan’s Paperbacks is an independently owned bookstore specializing in selling and trading new and used books. The store has been proudly in the Aloha community for 30 years. For more information visit Jan’s Paperbacks at 18095 SW T.V. Hwy, Aloha, call 503-694-3444, or go online at www.janspaperbacks.com. End
