Jan’s Paperbacks Celebrates Local Authors with Sale & Party

BEAVERTON, Ore. - April 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Jan’s Paperbacks has a long standing tradition of offering ample shelf space for new and upcoming authors to consign their books in the store, as well as offering weekly book signings for those same authors.  On Saturday May 16^th, the public is invited to stop by the store to participate in our ‘Shop Local, Read Local BOGO Sale’ that aims to encourage shopping local while you also read local.  Many of the local authors that are on consignment at Jan’s Paperbacks will be in-store throughout the day to hand sell books to customers, sign books and have a great time.  Authors scheduled to be at Jan’s Paperbacks include Cathy Lamb, Lars D.H. “There are a lot of wonderful authors living in our own backyard, and Jan’s Paperbacks has always made it a goal to do what we could to support those authors,” says Jan’s Paperbacks owner Debbie Burke.  “Most Saturday afternoons, you can find an author, or two, at the store visiting with customers.  It’s important to support this local talent, because you never know who will be the next J.K. Rowling or Nora Roberts.”
