Audi R8 Adds Another Trophy to the Case as Sports Car of the Year 2011

Dec. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Audi has proudly added another title to the list of awards for the Audi R8 after it was announced as the “Sports Car of the Year” by the panel from Auto Bild SportsCars journal at this month’s Essen Motor Show.  This is the tenth year the award has been presented and Audi enthusiasts around the world are thrilled with this year’s results.  

Audi has been busy this month participating in various auto shows across the world including the Essen Motor Show in Germany and the LA International Auto show held in the United States.  California Audi fans got to see a rare glimpse of the Audi R8 GT Spyder at the LA International Auto Show  in Orange County this past week.

The “Sports Car of the Year Award 2011” was determined by a panel of judges from the Auto Bild SportsCars journal and took into account votes from over 70,000 readers of the popular trade journal.  It is a prestigious award for German engineers and one that Audi is very proud to accept.
