| LA authors David R.Fett MD and Hollywood producer Steve Langford seek lit agent for book WHITE LIESCA Authors David R. Fett MD and Hollywood Producer-Writer Stephen Langford reveal sequel WHITE LIES, a follow-up to their acclaimed 2011 bioterrorist thriller novel WHITE SLEEPER. Authors invite agent and publisher interest for WHITE LIES.
By: The Barrett Company Communications WHITE LIES, the second installment in the WHITE SLEEPER Dr. Dave Richards series, finds the doctor and FBI Special Agent Paula Mushari at the head of an investigation of a bio-weapons attack in Boston, MA. They soon discover that it is somehow connected to a secret project called “Dresden.” WHITE SLEEPER has garnered a host of laudatory book reviews including Publishers Weekly that said: “A recovering alcoholic doctor who works for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention converts effortlessly and rapidly from insightful intellectual into an action hero; those who accept the implausibility of the setup will find this present-day medical thriller diverting…things move swiftly to a satisfying conclusion.” Book reviewer Beth Adams of Pacific Book Review wrote: “David R. Fett and Stephen Langford work well together…WHITE SLEEPER is simply infectious! Just as the 'little things' in the authors’ style lend itself to a memorable book, it’s the 'little things' in life – those pictured on the cover under an electron microscope – which can kill you.” IP Book Reviews reviewer Melissa Brown Levine said in her review of WHITE SLEEPER: “‘White Sleeper’ is a timely story of extremism and the new normal that has settled across America in the nearly ten years since the towers came down. It is also a tale of sacrifice, courage and second chances. I highly recommend it.” Both Colonel Gaddafi and Osama bin Laden may be gone, but threats of terrorist attacks on the United States still remain a frightening possibility as WHITE SLEEPER suggests. Among the scariest scenarios is an attack using toxic biological agents, which could cause untold number of deaths throughout this country. That’s the unsettling premise that drives the new bioterrorist thriller WHITE SLEEPER. Fett, a Los Angeles-based ophthalmologist and bioterrorism expert, and Langford, a screenwriter and producer, are longtime friends who teamed up to write a story that combines the threat of a homegrown terrorist linking up with foreign terrorists who wreak biological havoc on the United States, each with their own reasons. When Arkansas experiences a wave of rare, fatal diseases, the CDC calls in Dave Richards, a doctor with a shady past, to investigate. Richards sees this as an opportunity to clear his reputation and save his career. He joins with FBI agent Paula Mushari to investigate the seeming plague. When they think they’ve found the person responsible for the bioterrorism, they find themselves drawn deeper into a sinister pact between a white supremacist and a vengeful terrorist sect, each bent on causing mass destruction on the American populace. Richards and Mushari must race against the clock – and their own personal issues – to prevent a catastrophic plague from breaking out. WHITE SLEEPER is Fett’s first published book, although he has published many articles in his field. “I’ve always had an interest in toxicology,” Fett’s main reasons for writing WHITE SLEEPER were “entertainment and education,” he says. "The thriller part is to make people wake up. People need to be vigilant, act together, and open themselves up to the world at large. We need to protect the whole world from homegrown and foreign terrorists.” About the Authors David R.
