Dec. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Rapid City, S.D. – Fresh and organic foods are the newest trend among the health-conscious public. Rapid City restaurant, Murphy’s Pub & Grill has responded to that demand.

Murphy’s is located on the west edge of downtown. This summer the business underwent a complete renovation including the menu items it offers. Not to be confused with “bar food,” Murphy’s is a destination for anyone looking for made-from-scratch pub and comfort food assembled with fresh and local ingredients. See Murphy's full menue of fresh and organic food - http://www.murphyspubandgrill.com/menu.

Tony DeMaro, Murphy’s general manager said he would openly invite any of their patrons to take a tour of our kitchen. Noticeably absent is the commercial freezer, and normal set up of racks upon racks of canned goods.

Luke Chace, Murphy’s executive chef, proudly states “That’s because the only thing frozen at Murphy’s is the ice cream, and we strive to make everything from scratch.”

Come by early morning and you will see the dough being kneaded for the homemade buns, the potatoes being cut and soaked in sea salt and vinegar, and maybe even catch Erica stuffing the pickles with mozzarella, and wrapping them with prosciutto for the renowned fancy fried pickles.

The menu at Murphy’s is extensive. It covers traditional items like the half-pound Certified Angus beef burger, 12 oz NY sirloin and ‘fish & chips.’ – It also offers unique dishes – like the adult grill cheese which is made with three cheeses, caramelized onion and tomato. The buffalo meatloaf is another specialty dish, stuffed with Portobello mushrooms and served over a fire-roasted tomato sauce with asparagus and crispy fried onion strings.

For those looking for something on the lighter side Murphy’s offers the mango berry and tomato mozzarella salad, in addition to their many gluten free options like black bean salad or salmon with bourbon peach butter.

Indeed, Murphy’s offers top notch fresh food, but they also boast a wide selection of local and import beers. The beers rotate regularly so there is always something new on tap – whether it’s seasonal ale from Crow Peak, or a private shipment from New Belgium or Odell.

Murphy’s warm and inviting atmosphere adds ambiance to the dining experience. Raw wood trusses and dim lighting make for a comfortable environment that is perfect for a dinner date or night out with friends.

“People should come see the ‘new’ Murphy’s,” DeMaro said. “Our food menu and atmosphere are a whole different downtown experience.”

Murphy’s begins severing lunch at 11 a.m., seven days a week. The late-night menu is available until 11 p.m., Mon-Thurs and until midnight, Fri and Sat.
