WiMAX Forum® Announces 2012 Series of Operator Summits

Dec. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Today the WiMAX Forum announced its 2012 Operator Summit Series. Launched in 2011, the WiMAX Forum Operator Summit Series brought targeted, localized events to different regions of the world with a focus on serving the needs of WiMAX operators through education and networking. These summits were free to attend and open to the industry, attracting 420 attendees, including 179 representatives from 84 different WiMAX operators, over the course of the year.

In 2011 the Operator Summit Series provided interactive working events for all participants, both operators and vendors, to meet, exchange ideas and develop business and cooperative relationships. The events highlighted the opportunities, challenges and strategies involved in operating profitable WiMAX network in each targeted region.

• WiMAX East Asia, Taipei, Taiwan, June 5 - 6th  
• WiMAX North America, Montreal, Canada, June 18 - 19th
• WiMAX Europe, Sofia, Bulgaria, September 17 - 18th
• WiMAX South Asia, Location and Date TBD
• WiMAX Africa, Cape Town, South Africa, November 13th
• WiMAX Middle East, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 3rd
