Electric Bike 'Enables Me To Enjoy Cycling' Writes Amputee

I have recently retired at the age of 65 and have been disabled since birth; I am an amputee and therefore find riding a standard bicycle virtually impossible and not at all enjoyable.
With the cost of petrol and the actual running costs of a car rising all the time, I wanted to be able to undertake some journeys both for pleasure and for small shopping needs, without using the car.
Having checked your website I visited your dealer in Sandwich – a distance of about nine miles from home - and the service and advice I received was nothing less than superb.
I was allowed to test ride a bike for as long as I wished and given all the answers to my many questions.
I subsequently purchased one of your brilliant ‘Kingfisher’ models and had panniers fitted.
Your dealer not only asked me if I wanted further test rides before actually purchasing the bike but also assisted me in putting the bike into my car and quite simply could not have been more helpful.

After a few weeks of very enjoyable rides I became a little concerned that I was having a problem with only achieving approximately nine miles distance between charges using only pedal assist. Once again your dealer ‘Atman’ gave superb service and did not hesitate to exchange the battery and this seems to have rectified the problem. My bike had its first service which was a complete check of all working parts, brakes gears and chain etc all free of charge and once again your dealer gave me every assistance by putting the bike into my car for the journey home which is in excess of nine miles.

I cannot thank you enough for producing a bike which enables me to enjoy cycling and to be able to get around without using the car. I strongly recommend any disabled person of any age to contact the nearest FreeGo dealer and give the bikes a try.
