Virya Technologies awarded Suffolk Carbon Charter for efforts towards sustainable business model
Virya Technologies have been awarded the Suffolk Carbon Charter Award, recognising their commitment towards minimising their impact on the environment and developing a sustainable business model.
Virya Technologies have adopted working practices such as moving our systems to eco-friendly cloud-based systems and encouraging the use of cycling and public transport amongst our staff, in an effort to minimise our impact on the environment and offset any necessary carbon cost. We have also engrained this commitment in our staff training, ensuring that all electrical equipment is turned off when not in use and reporting back each month on our energy useage.
The Carbon Charter noted in particular:
In the case of Virya Technologies, the Panel was particularly impressed by the strength of the overall commitment evidenced in the policy, and the integration of environmental improvements into all areas of work with staff and clients.

Ruth Cheesley, Director, is rightly proud of the progress Virya Technologies have made over the past year towards minimising their impact on the environment, and looks forward to continuing to develop this in the future:
"We are delighted to have received our first award since we commenced trading, and look forward to the challenge of raising our level over the next 12 months as part of our sustained commitment to reducing our impact on the environment."
