Nov. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- In order to cut costs and reduce waste, organisations around the world are turning to cool chain solutions in order to take on a growing number of challenges.

Cool chain solutions can run anything from tightening air capacities, controlling logistics costs, fixing leaks with air freight transport to maintaining security in the cool chain and ensuring regulatory compliance, with recent improvements in technology causing a fall in the cost of cool chain maintenance, creating a query as to why any business that depends on temperature control would fail to implement it.

Why do you need cool chain solutions?

Cool chain technology is being adopted by a wide range of organisations which are seeing unnecessary wastage - and thus increased costs - through temperature fluctuations as a good move from producer to consumer.

The food industry, particularly those involved in perishables, as well as the medical sector, rely on sustained temperature to ensure quality.

Indeed, the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) recently published guidelines about the cool chain storage and transport of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and finished products.
