Follow on Google News | Upcoming events at the Dylan Thomas Centre in SwanseaThe Dylan Thomas Centre has two exciting events coming up at the end of November.
By: City and County of Swansea On Wednesday 23 November at 7.30pm, the centre presents the latest script-in-hand performance in Michael Kelligan’s On the Edge series. This month’s play is Orange by Alan Harris, in which two local lads find their own answer to 'world terrorism'. Jo Furber, Literature Officer at the Dylan Thomas Centre said “Alan Harris' A Good Night Out in the Valleys was National Theatre Wales’ opening play, so don’t miss this opportunity to see another of his plays”. All tickets for On the Edge are £4. Then on Thursday, 24 November at 7.30pm, Philip Gross headlines Poets in the Bookshop. The T.S. Eliot Prize winner will read from Deep Field, his new collection from Bloodaxe. Bloodaxe focuses on Gross’s father, a wartime refugee, who in his nineties began to lose his several languages, first to deafness, then profound aphasia. Deeply thought as well as deeply felt, these poems reach into that gulf to find him. The evening also includes an open-mic poetry session. Tickets are: £4, £2.80 concessions and £1.60 for PTL.
