Top 10 Most Highly Anticipated Free to Play MMORPG of 2012 List Launched

Nov. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- The top MMO fan site BestFreeMMORPG2012.com today released its top picks for the most highly anticipated free to play massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) that are scheduled to be launched next year. All of these games are currently under development. They were ranked based on how much buzz they have gathered in fan forums and blogs.

“At this point since these MMO games are all unreleased it is premature to say which ones will be the best but there are some MMORPGs that have definitely gotten a lot more attention from fans. This Top MMORPG 2012 list we made is all about which games players are looking forward to playing the most,” said Regina Reid, MMO games reporter for the free MMORPG games website.

Three games are separated from the rest. The first two, ArcheAge and the World of Darkness MMO, are highly anticipated but have not yet confirmed whether they will be free to play or not.

A special mention also goes to Guild Wars 2 (GW2). Strictly speaking it is neither a paid subscription MMORPG nor a fully free to play game because its revenue model will probably be like the original GW. That means that players will probably have to buy the game but there will most likely be no monthly subscription fee. Due to its unusual and unique hybrid pricing plan it is one of the most highly anticipated MMO releases of 2012 so it gets an honorable mention.
