Sometimes in life you get a one time opportunity to experience something phenomenal – a diamond in the ruff full of life, sparkle and authentic to the very core.  Jamie Flegg is one of those moments in life.  Every aspect of his light or aura is revealed in his latest CD “Life Sciences”, brought to you by an extremely talented, layered individual who knows how to get to the very depth of your soul.

Where Jamie Flegg is right now is no accident.  He attended the University for Life Sciences and spent numerous hours playing guitar and writing.  He spent four years there, writing, practicing and performing.  This deepened his love for music and allowed him to evolve by sharpening his skills in all areas of music and music production.  His mission was to pursue a career as a musician.  In 2009 Jamie released his first independently produced six-song acoustic EP titled “Anice” which sold approximately 1000 copies both physically and digitally.  

Jamie Flegg released his latest project “Life Sciences” worldwide in June, 2011 to outstanding reviews.  One particular song, “Real World” led the way giving audiences a chance to get closer and understand this extraordinary artist. This song is about straddling the line between adolescent and adulthood and not wanting to go full into adulthood just yet.  It is an upbeat, fun song with a simple, yet complex structure to it.  Every instrument, every word, every note is sharp and independent of each other, clearly heard which allows this song to pop.  The chorus is very catchy and you can sing it all day long.  Every aspect of this song is blended beautifully.  It has a reggae rhythm to it which gives it such a unique quality and likeability that you just can’t resist listening to it over and over again.

Jamie Flegg has a few common threads that run through his songs that make his music distinguishable from others in his genre.   He is a pop/folk artist whose songs carry great messages outstanding raw vocals that have emotion and texture.   Every song has thought provoking storylines, they are radio-friendly, have catchy choruses and their feel-good energy leaves a long term impact with audiences.  

Jamie Flegg was Performing Artist of the Year in Oakville, Canada. He opened for Bedouin Soundclash and has played many venues such as Indie Week in Toronto, Younge-Dundas Square in Toronto, Burling Sound of Music, Oakville Waterfront Festival, Horseshoe Tavern, Silver Dollar Room, Opera House, Madison House, Hard Rock Cafe’, and many others.  He’s working on putting together a tour but no information is available at this time.
