Follow on Google News | IE Discovery’s Stacy Jackson Sells Out at Association of Corporate Counsel Annual Meeting"Ethical Obligations in the Modern Era” panel taking place October 24 at the 2011 ACC Annual Meeting has sold out.
By: IE Discovery The session will take place on Monday, October 24 at 4:30 p.m. “Attorneys are ethically obligated to competently represent their clients, and ‘keeping up’ with technology is an integral part of that duty,” says Jackson. “As it has become pervasive in society, understanding new technology has become a complicated ethical issue, so I’m not surprised at the response by in-house counsel.” In this interactive discussion, Jackson and the panel will discuss how technology is impacting a number of areas, including client communications and competent representation. The panel will also discuss information security and ethical issues raised in negotiating search protocols. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how to learn the “new” technology basics such as social media and cloud computing, as well as what’s on the horizon and how will it impact ethical obligations. ACC's Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of in-house counsel from around the world. It and takes place on October 23-26, 2011 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
