McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP Partner J. Randolph Evans Selected as 2011 Republican Lawyer of the Year

Oct. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- ATLANTA — The Board of Governors of the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) has selected McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) partner J. Randolph “Randy” Evans as the 2011 Republican Lawyer of the Year. The Republican Lawyer of the Year award recognizes lawyers for outstanding professional accomplishments and years of dedicated service to the Republican Party and its ideals.

Evans is chair of MLA’S Financial Institutions practice where he handles high-profile, complex litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout the U.S. for some of the largest companies in the world.  Evans is also a co-chair of the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission and is the longest-serving member of the Georgia State Board of Elections.  He also serves as a member of the RNLA Board of Governors and Vice President for Election Education.

Evans served as the outside counsel to the Speakers of the 104th-109th Congresses of the U.S., Newt Gingrich and Dennis Hastert and General Counsel of the Georgia Republican Party from 2001 to 2009.

Evans has authored three books on legal malpractice and liability insurance. He is a featured guest contributor to the Fulton County Daily Report and the Atlanta Business Chronicle and writes a syndicated weekly column that is published in newspapers throughout Georgia.
