Linium’s ITSM expert Doug Tedder was presented with a prestigious priSM Fellow award by the chair of the Global Professional Recognition Institute in Service Management (priSM) President, Jay Stuart, and the chair of the priSM America’s (priSM America’s), Cathy Kirch, at the recent Fusion 2011 conference. The Fellow award, the organization’s highest level of honorary achievement, was given to Doug in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the advancement of the field of Service Management. priSM is a comprehensive program for professionals that awards credentials – student, associate, professional and distinguished professional – to individuals in IT Service Management based on their knowledge, practical experience, and service to the industry.

Select Distinguished Professional in Service Management (DPSM) credential holders are nominated by their peers each year for a Fellow award.  The credential holder must have made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of the field of Service Management by formal contributions to one or more Service Management-oriented publications, by leadership contribution (e.g. Officer level volunteer role), by industry expert status as recognized by their peers (ex. practitioner, educator, author or advocate), or by their overall contribution to Service Management related industry standards. A committee selects award recipients after a thorough review of the nominee’s significant contributions as a practitioner, educator, author, or advocate based on evidence of accomplishment, opinions of references, service to other professional organizations and years in the profession. The Fusion11 conference, sponsored by IT Service Management Forum USA and HDI to elevate the standards of service management education, was held September 25-28, 2011, at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.
