Oct. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- A 'tea party' group near Los Angeles plans a sidewalk "stand-up" for free-market principles to counter the "squat-ins" of the growing "Occupy Wall Street" movement.

The "Free the Marketplace" rally is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at Warner Center Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills, CA 91367. The rally is to promote core 'tea party' values including fiscal responsibility and free-market principles.

"Our message is respectful and clear, " says Karen Kenney, coordinator of the San Fernando Valley Patriots, an affiliate of the non-partisan and national Tea Party Patriots.
"Big Government is bad business. Small Government promotes small business."

"We support cuts in spending, taxes and government regulations. Taxes and red tape choke small business," she adds.  "Big Brother" bullies "Mom and Pop" every time. Look at California. Progressive policies are killing jobs. Layered taxes, public-sector unionism, 'green' regulations and entitlements are driving businesses out of the state."
