MGS Celebrates Opening of New Facility

Oct. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- MGS President & CEO Richard Bahr addressed the gathering, thanking the employees for their help during the acquisition of the building and the accompanying remodeling work.

Festivities kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. and included a live demonstration of MGS’s new MatriX™ Casepacker and Carton Inspection Module, which were highlighted at PACK EXPO 2011 in Las Vegas on September 26–28. The demonstration was attended by Channel 12 News; other MGS equipment on display included the TopSerter II™, iSys™ tray denester, and Impulse™ friction feeder.

Light refreshments were served throughout the day, and dinner was served. Children’s entertainment included coloring boxes, CAD computer games, face-painting, and caricatures.

Featuring state-of-the-art communications systems, the new building will expand the company's capacity to provide more line integration and full system FATs. The building was constructed utilizing recycled materials as well as methods to lower energy consumption and is conveniently located within 30 minutes of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
