MGS’s Mel Bahr to be Inducted into Packaging Hall of Fame

MGS Machine Corporation’s Mel Bahr will be honored on Nov. 4 when he is inducted in the Packaging Hall of Fame.
 
MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - Oct. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Bahr and his five fellow members of the Class of 2014, are being recognized for impacting packaging and processing in a wide array of areas, including packaging formats and materials, machinery standards, education, food safety and industry relations, according to an Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI) press release.

Bahr founded MGS Machine in 1979 and has 50 years of experience in the industry. He has been involved in producing more than 25,000 pieces of packaging machinery, many of which were complete, end-of-the-line systems. Before retiring in 2011, he “contributed to technological innovations and demonstrated leadership in critical issues involving machinery and worker safety,” the press release states. Additionally, Bahr was an active member in several associations, committees, and international societies. He continues to further the growth of the industry through his mentoring of students and young workers as well as his work with PMMI.

The Hall of Fame reception and ceremony will be held in conjunction with PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO 2014 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago.
