Oct. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- From 2012 any local business in Bournemouth who wanted to call another Bournemouth number would have to dial the whole phone number, including the 01202 code. Similar changes will also be required in Brighton and Hove (01273), Aberdeen (01224), Milton Keynes (01908), Bradford (01274) and Cambridge (01223) within the next few years.

UK2Numbers, leading UK telephone number supplier, recommends that all business customers currently running area code 01202 numbers consider adopting an 0800 or 0845 non geographic number in order to safeguard from any future changes. This measure will only apply to 01 numbers issued by other providers and does not affect any geographic numbers already allocated by UK2Numbers.

The number of communications providers has increased significantly over the last six years, leading to more competition and cheaper landline bills for millions of businesses, but it has also led to increased pressure on the supply of phone numbers as well as some telecoms holding a significant quantity of unused numbers.

As a result of these changes http://www.UK2Numbers.co.uk predicts that the BT price of 01 calls to certain geographic number areas may be affected by the new measures.
