IAOP Introduces New Advanced Outsourcing Certification in Outsourcing Governance

Sept. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, Sept. 29 – Outsourcing professionals can earn an advanced certification in outsourcing governance through a new professional certification introduced today by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®).
The new Certified Outsourcing Professional in Outsourcing Governance (COP-GOV) lets professionals validate their expertise in this specialized area to employers and the industry.
The new certification shows advanced skills and experience beyond the Certified Outsourcing Professional® (COP) designation that demonstrates that professionals have the knowledge and experience to design, implement and manage outsourcing relationships.

“Outsourcing is becoming increasingly specialized and individuals who can validate their expertise in specific areas of outsourcing through professional certifications can command greater compensation and professional recognition in their organizations,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett.

The Outsourcing Governance certification shows an individual has specialized knowledge of and experience in helping their organizations plan, invest in, and execute a cohesive set of business practices for designing and implementing a strong governance program.
For the new certification, professionals must first earn the COP status and should have three of more years of experience in governance. Candidates also must complete an Outsourcing Governance Workshop either live or online, and pass a certification exam.    
This certification is the newest in a group of expanded certification programs launched by IAOP under the Outsourcing Professional Certification Framework™ (OPCF) with a full range of certifications for individuals at every career level.
