RainMaker Software Hosts Successful Annual Client Conference

Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- BLUE BELL, Pa. – RainMaker Software, a leading provider of Financial and Practice Management software for the legal industry, hosted its 33rd Annual Client Conference and User Group Meeting in Philadelphia last week.  The multi-day conference, re-branded Exchange earlier this year, provides users with the opportunity to learn more about their RainMaker system through educational sessions focused on the innovative modules and features offered in Platinum, RainMaker’s premier time & billing software.  This year’s conference was highly attended by legal financial professionals from around the country.

Pre-conference activities began with a Saturday meeting and dinner with the RainMaker President’s Council followed by a Sunday afternoon User’s Group meeting.  Both groups gather to share ideas, and discuss software matters, enhancements, and law firm operational practices.

Exchange 2011 commenced on the morning of September 19th with a welcoming performance by the Joseph A. Ferko String Band, an award-winning Philadelphia Mummers group that has performed world-wide.  The rousing performance was followed by the traditional RainMaker Kick-off meeting, presented by RainMaker President, Jim Hammond, who discussed the company’s product development roadmap and introduced RainMaker’s newest financial module, KPI Xpress™.

Legal Project Management expert, Steven B. Levy, served as the conference’s keynote speaker.  Levy, who authored two books, including Legal Project Management: Control Costs, Meet Schedules, Manage Risks, and Maintain Sanity, provided attendees with an educational overview of this emerging new management approach.  Attendees were able to walk away with a better understanding of the concept and how to implement the methodology within their law firm.  

In addition to the numerous educational sessions, attending professionals could also opt to join intensive training sessions on select product topics or visit the on-site demo room, in which they could receive a hands-on demonstration of any of RainMaker’s products.  After hours, attendees were entertained at off-site events including a Welcome Reception sponsored by the RainMaker User Group at North Bowl in Northern Liberties and a dinner cruise aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia. Both events offered attendees an opportunity to relax and network with fellow users and RainMaker staff members.
