iPhone 5 annoucement on 4th Oct

Sept. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- The invites have been despatched, and the lucky few will soon be heading off to Apple HQ for the launch of the new iPhone.

Invites are for the 4th October, and come with the tagline "Let's Talk iPhone".

Whilst previous Apple events have been held in San Francisco, this time Apple want to host the launch right at their own HQ. This could point to a number of things, but perhaps most obvious is that Apple will be demonstrating some new signal technology, for which they want to rely on their own infrastructure rather than trust someone elses.

Latest rumours suggest that 2 iPhones will be announced, one catering to the pay as you go user, and the other will most likely be the iPhoen 5 - a proper upgrade from the iPhone 4.

Tech sites including Techradar and Slash Gear will be live blogging directly from Apple HQ on the day, so all eyes will be turned to them when Tuesday rolls around!

We will soon know whether the iPhone 5 will be winging its way to UK shores. All likelihood is that it will make it here, and hopefully at the same time as it launches in the States! When will that be, and how can we get our grubby little mitts on one?

We can be pretty sure that the new iPhone will be available direct from Apple - those die-hard fans that like to camp outside are sure to be able to purchase one!

But beyond that speculation is still rife. The iPhone 4 eventually made it to sale from all the UK networks, with some launching earlier than others. The iPhone 4 made it to 3 Mobile relatively late, but we are hoping that the iPhone 5 will be ready right from launch. After all, 3 offer the best deals on the iPhone 4, and there's no reason to think they wouldn't do the same for this new offering!
