Sept. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Science, Engineering and Mathematics  Link Inc's Founder and Executive Director Ms. Tokiwa T. Smith was featured in the September 16, 2011 edition of Scientific American blog. The article was written by Dr. Danielle N. Lee of Urban Science Adventures© a biologist that studies animal behavior, mammalogy, and ecology. Dr. Lee was inspired to write the article based on this month’s issue of Scientific American magazine; Cities: Better, Greener, Smarter. Since Dr. Lee’s work focuses on science outreach to urban audiences she wanted to highlight the work being done in cities. The article describes the purpose and  work of the organization and STEM’s contribution to urban areas. “I’m a fan of Dr. Lee’s work, so I was honored and grateful that she thought enough of SEM Link to feature us in this article.” said Tokiwa T. Smith, Founder and Executive Director of SEM Link. “As a STEM major in college, it was a goal of my friends and I to one day to be featured in a prestigious STEM publication such as Scientific American. I never imagined that I would get this opportunity as a STEM educator and social entrepreneur.”  To view the article, click on the link below:
