Quincy, Massachusetts Single-family Median Home Prices Decline, Sales Increase August 2011

Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- The median price of single-family homes in Quincy, Massachusetts decreased in August 2011 while sales increased, according to data analyzed by Buyers Brokers Only LLC, an exclusive buyer agent real estate firm.

The median price of single-family homes fell 7.8 percent in August 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of $25,000.  The drop in median price apparently fueled sales. Single-family home sales in Quincy, MA rose 54.2 percent in August 2011, a difference of 13 sales compared to August 2010.  

Condominium sales decreased 32.1 percent in August 2011, a difference of nine sales compared to August 2010.The median condo price was flat, falling 0.3 percent in August 2011, a difference of only $750 compared to August 2010.

Sales of multi-family homes decreased 50 percent in August 2011, a difference of eight sales compared to August 2010. The median price of multi-family homes fell 28.2 percent in August 2011, a difference of $128,750 compared to August of the previous year.

The data were compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, a local multiple listing service.
