Forged Composite in the Callaway RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood

Sept. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- I bought the new RAZR Hawk fairway woods to replace my old Callaway clubs. The reason I bought Callaway again is because they have superior clubs and the best customer service I have ever dealt with. Top notch company that really cares about there customers. I will have a long test in several years.

Made up of millions of turbostratic carbon fibers, it's one-third the density of titanium, yet features a greater load carrying capacity per unit mass in bending. This new material, used in the crown of these clubs, Adding Forged Composite to the crown of the new RAZR Hawk Fairway Woods allows these clubs to perform like no other fairway woods Callaway has ever made. The Build Quality on the RAZR Hawk is rather nice. Unfortunately, the club heads are still attached to an OEM Shaft that lacks a little in character.  The "Lite" Flex is a 55 gram shaft with a low kick-point. The "Regular" is also a Low Kickpoint shaft, but slightly beefed up to weigh in at 60 grams. The "Stiff" is also a middle weight model at 60 grams, but has been slightly tip trimmed and features a mid kick point. Nothing wrong with these shafts at all, but they are a little bit plain vanilla for such a kitschy head as this.

Each RAZR Hawk Fairway Wood has a stainless steel face and sole in a traditional shape with a full-length hosel, PING G20 Driver a style that appeals to and plays well with a broad range of players. What is more, precision shaping of the face thickness in each club increases the size of the sweet spot, generating hotter ball speeds for longer distance.

My first impression of the fairway wood was satisfaction. The temperature was about 50 degrees, and the ball still few onto the green. Normally, I would have hit a shot short of the creek due to the temperature.
