Less Distance of the Ping Ander Forged Irons

Got my Ping Anser Forged irons the day before yesterday and played 31 holes yesterday. Sweet clubs! Love the feel. I just upgraded from the G15′s.

Oct. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Got my Ping Anser Forged irons the day before yesterday and played 31 holes yesterday. Sweet clubs! Love the feel. I just upgraded from the G15′s. No more distance but seem to be a bit more accurate especially with the longer clubs.

Sharing a similar address appearance with the Ping i15 the Anser Forged iron offers skilled, low handicappers the high performance quality they demand from Ping without excluding higher handicappers who want the reassurance of playing with a premium club. The minimal offset and thin top line will please better players but the all round playability make the Ping Anser Forged a club to be cherished by all golfers.

The Ping Anser Forged Golf Irons Sale are made of 8620 carbon steel with partial tungsten sole. They have a larger than average sole width and offset as well. So you might ask why forged and why now?  Well the Japan market prefers forged irons and this will in our opinion dramatically grow their market share in that market. And why the wide sole and offset on a forged iron…well the Japan market prefers this style a little more then a pure blade as well.  I also feel that they will eventually come out with a more traditional forged blade in the US in the coming years.  Well as long as they feel it will improve on the other blades on the market.  Because that is what Ping is all about. Its hollow-sole cavity softens feel and positions the CG for higher-launching shots. The progressive set design offers long-iron forgiveness and short-iron control.

Removing metal post forging via CNC machining allowed Ping to add more moment of inertia (MOI) in 2 directions. Left to right and high to low on the face of the Anser Forged Irons for miss hit in the two ways we can miss it. They added a dual cavity and covered the lower on with a high tech tungsten nickel sole. They say it softens the feel and positions the CG for higher launching shots. I didn’t notice higher shots as much.

The Anser Forged Golf Clubs Sale are in line with a typical mainstream release in the Japanese market with a focus on the average golfer wanting a forged iron. Clubs in Japan are typically more expensive than other parts of the world, and picky Japanese golfers are more than willing to put down their yen for the latest and greatest forged iron. I spoke to a couple of reps at the Ping booth and they explained that they did not want to classify the Anser forged as a player’s cavity or game improvement iron. The concept is a premium forged iron that is easy to hit for all levels of players. Not compact like a players/athlete model but not overly large like a GI model, rather something right in between that could provide something for everyone.
