Local Greenhouse Celebrates 45th Year With Fall Festival

Sept. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- HINSDALE, Ill.--- Being in business for forty-five years is not easily attained these days, especially in the greenhouse or retail industry, but this summer marks the 45th anniversary of Vern Goers Greenhouse being open for business in Hinsdale, IL.

To celebrate, the company has started hosting events for customers, as a thank you for the business and a chance to catch some great deals while out with the family.  Starting with the April Open House last spring, and Design with the Experts Nights throughout the summer, the Fall Festival is a celebration of autumn and everything it has to offer.

On Saturday, October 1, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, the greenhouse will be hosting a Fall Festival with loads of activities and deals for everyone.  Activities will include pumpkin painting, a pie contest, a festival raffle, a kid’s coloring contest, and other games for the family.

There will also be some great sales on perennials, pottery, urns, and other garden accent pieces, as well as workshops for gardeners of any skill level.

These workshops include Winter Prep with Dan Kosta, an on-staff horticulturist, and Fall Container Creations with Debbie Wentz, an on-staff designer.  These workshops are free for all to attend and will only last between 15-30 minutes. The Winter Prep workshop will take place at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm and the Fall Container Creations workshop will take place at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.

So be sure to join in on the fun with lots of activities for families, workshops for gardeners, sales for shoppers, and food & drinks for everyone!
