10 Fun Fall Events and Things To Do in North Jersey

"Great Family Event" in Ridgewood
One of northern New Jersey's favorite fundraising events returns to Ridgewood this fall.
The Footprints in the Sand Foundation Walk-A-Thon, sponsored by the Bergen Dental Society, will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011.
The day will feature a five mile walk, three mile walk, and one mile walk all on flat paved trails in Saddle River County Park.
"This is going to be a great family event because it’s entirely outdoors, complete with an adjacent playground. There's a free BBQ after the walk with music, clowns, face painting, juggling and, of course, lots of great food. We give out a lot of free merchandise as well; frisbees, t-shirts, things like that", explained Casey DeZorrett of the Footprints in the Sand Foundation.
