Grip Tuning and Martin unveiled their first joint project the Martin V1000 on Saturday, August 20th during the Woodward Dream Cruise at a private VIP event in Birmingham, MI. The Martin V1000 is based on the Cadillac CTSV Coupe and features a specially designed Grip Tuning body kit. This unique, one of a kind car is capable of 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and quarter-mile ETs of 10.9 seconds at 137 mph.
This high performance specialty vehicle is based on the stylish Cadillac CTS-V Coupe and boasts 1000 hp along with many dynamic vehicle attributes. The Martin designed body kit manufactured by Grip Tuning consists of two rear pieces, two rockers, a front chin spoiler and a rear decklid spoiler.
Grip Tuning first came on the scene in 2005 with two major Chrysler design awards at the 2005 SEMA show, now this company is taking pride at being the first to offer full body kits for the most classic late model performance sedan, coupes, and sport cars. Now, this new manufacturing and marketing alliance with Martin will allow Grip Tuning to participate fully in the ground floor development of new project concept vehicles synthesizing speed and style.
The Martin V1000 will be featured at Grip Tuning’s SEMA show booth (#13047) and is available for purchase as is, or can be customized to fit customer preference.
“With the expansion of our Martin Specialty vehicle line through the cooperation of Grip Tuning’s and Martin’s talented design teams, we have once again raised the standard for high performance,”
Dave Phillips, president and owner of Core-Tech, says, “We are very much inspired by the vehicles created at Martin. In order to build a partnership that would mutually benefit both parties it was crucial to find a company with the vision and the willingness to build the best.”
The Grip Tuning CTS-V body kit developed as a prototype first for the MARTIN V1000, is also available as a stand-alone body kit developed from the company’s proprietary composite - CoreGrip™ or carbon fiber. The kit can be installed in a couple of hours and is shipped ready for primer and paint.
