The V-6 offers direct-injection technology to improve efficiency. Mechanical features include power steering with variable assist, available all-wheel drive, and a linked “H” rear suspension.

The power steering with variable assist is designed to reduce power assist at speed. The all-wheel drive assist in managing torque split between the front and rear axles. This puts more power to different axles as need. The linked “H” rear suspension is created to reduce noise as well as vibration in the cabin.

The Acadia is known to be the boxiest of GM’s full-size crossovers due to its unique and distinctive exterior styling. New exterior features for 2012 include Led taillights, polished aluminum roof rails, dual exhaust outlets with chrome tips, 18-inch cast-aluminum wheels, and available 19- or 20-inch wheels.

Features such as high-intensity-discharge headlamps, two-panel power sunroof with tilt-sliding front, and fixed rear panels with sunshade are optional.

With a two-tone interior, the spacious Acadia offers maximum seating capacity of seven.
Both the second and third rows of seats can be easily folded flat to boost cargo storage.

Interior features of the all new 2012 GMC Acadia include standard remote keyless entry and cruise control. Optional interior features include leather seats, rear ultrasonic parking assist and backup camera, backseat entertainment system, navigation system, and heated and cooled front seats.


Safety features of the new 2012 GMC Acadia come with side-impact and side curtain airbags, electronic stability system and traction control, four-wheel –disc antilock brakes, OnStar communication system, including one free year of Safe and Sound service, which alerts authorities in the event of a collision.
